Lemon Fool URL Formatter
When a URL is added to a LemonFool post (and some other websites), it may be corrupted if there are special characters. An example of a problematic URL is:
http://stockcharts.com/freecharts/pnf.php?c=%24FTSE,PWUBDANCBO[PA][D][F1!3!60!!2!20]
The square brackets [ ] are interpreted by Lemon Fool as formatting tags. This can be overcome by replacing problematic special characters by hex codes as follows:
[ --> %5B
] --> %5D
( --> %28
) --> %29
"space" --> %20
{ --> %7B
} --> %7D
' --> %27
^ --> %5E
Paste a URL into the "Input URL" box, then click on the "Create Formatted URL" button.
Copy the resultant text in the Output URL box and paste into a Lemon Fool message. Note that there is no need to add the [url][/url] tags. The Lemon Fool will automatically interpret a URL and set it as a clickable link.
An alternative approach is to use a site such as tinyurl.com/ or goo.gl/ or bitly.com/ to reformat/shorten the URL
