Simple Price Scrape
This is a very basic tool to download share prices to a spreadsheet, which can then be used as a look-up for your own spreadsheet. The macro is not password protected so is easily accessible to the user, for modification if desired.
Excel and LibreOffice versions are available.
The sheet "SharePrices" gets the price data from shareprices.com/
Data is restricted to shares, ETFs and bonds quoted on the London Stock Exchange
From version 2-1, the sheet "Yahoo" was introduced to reinstate the functionality of the original version of this tool. Data is extracted from uk.finance.yahoo.com/quotes/VOD.L,PEY.L,YLVR,VWRL.L,USDGBP=X,%5EFTSE/view/v1
Data is available from global markets, and includes market indices such as the FTS100, and currency exchange rates.
For prices from Yahoo, an option on the Parameters sheet allows for manual or automatic inclusion of the Yahoo .L suffix for LSE stocks. Not that enabling this option will prevent access to exchange rates, indices and other global stocks
